Role Summary

Looking for a high-calibre Project Manager with a strong background in project delivery to assume a key role in an extensive programme of client delivery work.

This role is primarily responsible for delivering client engagements and the right candidate must be able to demonstrate the following core responsibilities;

 

Client Responsibilities:

  • Managing delivery, planning and scheduling to project timelines.
  • Reporting regularly to senior management, whilst also managing client relationships.
  • Authority to prioritise and plan effectively.
  • Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time.

 

Internal Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Change peers to propose improved ways of working, with the focus always on delivering high quality results for clients.
  • Support the Engagement Managers in managing multiple client engagements.
  • Improve and standardise how we communicate with our clients and the market.
  • Look to find opportunities to improve how we communicate within the team

 

Skills

 

What you need to have

  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies with experience leading complex projects or change programmes.
  • Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines and to communicate effectively when additional help is needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead both on client engagements and internal to the company.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations.
  • The ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure.
  • Exposure to both Business and Technology Transformation within Financial Services, ideally as a consultant or change professional.
  • Proficient user in Atlassian and Microsoft suite of applications (Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, Project or Azure Dev Ops) and the curiosity to investigate and experiment with new ways of using these tools and alternative platforms.

 

What makes you stand out

  • Experience of large-scale implementations of Order Management Systems (OMS) or Investment Book of Record (IBOR) migrations – e.g. Aladdin, Murex, ThinkFolio, Charles River, SimCorp Dimensions.
  • Project management experience within any of the following functional specialisms: Front Office, Risk, Performance, Dealing, Operations or Compliance functions within an Asset Manager or Capital Markets company.
  • The mindset and energy to embrace and help develop a more agile approach to delivering client change projects.
